Every great explorer eventually needs a base of operations. A headquarters. A place to hang the badge, review the day's dispatches, and take a well-earned nap between assignments.
Mississippi Mack found his at Sign Design & Sales.
The first challenge presented itself immediately: the stairs to the second floor. They rose before him — steep, yellow-edged, and frankly quite tall for a dog of his stature. He stood at the bottom and assessed the situation with the focused intensity of a mountaineer eyeing a summit.
He made it up. Of course he did. He is Mississippi Mack.
At the top, the office awaited. And the office had clearly been expecting him.
There was a bed. A proper, full-sized dog bed, positioned with care in the corner of the workspace — the kind of bed that says "someone important works here." Mack circled it once, sniffed it thoroughly, and stepped on. It met his standards.
Then he found the water bowl.
It was not just any water bowl. It had his name on it. MISSISSIPPI MACK, printed right there on the side — as if the universe itself had finally caught up to what everyone already knew.
He drank from it with great dignity.
From his new office bed, Mack surveyed the operation. The wide-format printers. The rolls of vinyl. The crew moving purposefully through the space. He watched it all with the calm authority of a supervisor who has seen things, done things, and earned the right to observe from a comfortable position.
He thinks it's going to be fun to work at Sign Design & Sales.
